A 2D animation as part of video mapping workshop during the Video Mapping Festival in Lille. It was a challenge that took 5 days and it was a great opportunity to experiment with animation and projection mapping. It was an interesting experience because we had to form a team out of random people with completely different expertise and experience levels to create something in 5 days.

concept
This year's theme was 'Metamorphosis'. We explored this concept through a droplet of water bringing life to a box. Started with a simple scene of a droplet finding it's way towards the box and evolved into a party of colors and shapes dancing on the building. Each shape on the surface is also changing and evolving throughout the animation. We used buildings silhouette as part of our design as well. This was something I particularly enjoyed during the creative process.
process
It was a quite collaborative process. We all had different expertise and experience levels so each of us brought something unique to the table. We tried to experiment as much as we could. Time limitation was a challenge but it also pushed us to be more creative and efficient.
